- Cause of death wasn’t covered in the policy. See our exclusions list.
- Suicide occurring during the contestable period. During this 2-year period, life insurance companies have the right to investigate the cause of death and review the information provided on the insured’s application. If the company finds that inaccurate or false information was provided, the claim may be denied.
